A native of Barry’s Bay, Ontario, in the Ottawa Valley, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and went on to graduate with her Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Dr. Jennifer is a member in good standing of several professional organizations including the Ontario Chiropractic Association, the Canadian Chiropractic Association and a former executive member with the Women’s Business Networking Association (Aurora Chapter).
Dr. Jennifer has been serving patients in York region since 2002 and in February 2008 established Balance Family Chiropractic in it’s present location.
Dr. Jennifer utilizes a wide variety of clinical experiences and techniques to enhance the health of her patients.
She has a many interests in practice from working with women to achieve healthy pregnancies as well as helping individuals optimize their athletic performance. Dr. Jennifer has a special place in her heart for any athlete or want to be athlete! She works with athletes of many different competitive levels from encouraging active play in children to junior national champions in a variety of sports including soccer, hockey, trampoline, kayaking, fencing and dance to adult Ironman and marathon competitors.
Personally, Dr. Jennifer is a big sports fan and an avid follower of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays and Canadian Curling. Her personal interests include gardening, photography, running, triathlon, Algonquin canoe trips and world travel adventures with her family.
Dr. Jennifer encourages patients to lead a healthy, active lifestyle and would like to be seen as leading by example. Dr. Jennifer and her family love to walk, hike and snowshoe with their dog, Karma. Dr. Jen also completed her first 1/2 marathon in the 2004 Scotiabank Waterfront Half Marathon, first triathlon in 2006 in Peterborough, first Half Ironman 70.3 Race in Bracebridge in 2010 and first full Marathon at the Niagara Falls International Marathon in October 2011. She continues to train for personal bests in triathlon and distance running.
