Chiropractors look at the bones and joints of the body (primarily the spine) and assess them for alignment and mobility. Your spinal column protects the spinal cord which transmits information from your brain out to every muscle, organ, tissue and cell in your body. When the bones and joints of the vertebral column are not moving properly, it can irritate the nerves passing between them and, in turn, can affect the function of muscles, ligaments and joints that nerve runs too. This can lead to imbalances and eventually to pain.
Chiropractic care is not just about back pain! Although we very effectively treat lower back pain we also work with:
- Headaches
- Neck and Upper back pain (Tech Neck)
- Jaw (TMJ) pain
- Shoulder and elbow issues
- Athletic injuries with hip, knee or foot pain
- Scoliosis
- Pregnancy and issues that come with post-partum
